Universal Sinfulness and the Law's Condemnation

Romans 3:9-20

3
Chapter 3
9 What then? Do we excel? Not at all, for we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks with being under sin. 10 just as it is written, "There is no righteous one, not even one," 11 There is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become useless. There is no one doing kindness; there is not one, not even one. 13 Their throat is an opened grave; they use their tongues to deceive; the poison of asps is under their lips. 14 whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness 15 Their feet are swift to pour out blood. 16 breaking and misery are in their ways, 17 And they did not know the way of peace. 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. 19 But we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those in the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped and the whole world may become accountable to God. 20 because by works of law no flesh will be justified before him, for through law is knowledge of sin.
